The new Ford Fiesta ST will cost from £16,995 when it goes on sale this April. Range-topping ST2 versions will cost from £17,995.
Entry-level ST cars come with 17-inch alloys, modified suspension, bespoke front and rear bumpers, and tinted glass as standard. Inside, ST versions are marked apart from the standard Fiesta by a set of Recaro seats. Other equipment includes DAB radio, Sync connectivity and manual air-conditioning.
ST badges sit on the front and rear, and on the steering wheel, but there are no additional dials on the dashboard as there are with the Focus ST.
The ST2 adds privacy glass, LED headlights, and keyless start. The interior gets part-leather seats, a Sony DAB system and auto air-conditioning.
Ford's 180bhp 1.6-litre Ecoboost engine provides the ST's power, with a 0-62mph time of 6.9 seconds. Average economy should be around 47mpg, with CO2 emissions of 138g/km.
The UK-bound Fiesta ST will come only as a three-door, while the US will get a five-door version.
