So far, four engines have been announced for the Focus; a 1.6 petrol, 1.6 petrol with ecoboost (a direct injection turbocharged engine with variable valve timing) a 1.6 and 2.0-litre diesel. The three 1.6-litre engines will be built in the UK.

If you like the sound of these 1.6 engines you won't have to wait until 2011 to try them. They will be available in the C-Max, which goes on sale here in the autumn.
