Ford Kuga upgrades announced

The Ford Kuga is now available with a selection of upgrades, including a new powerful diesel engine and reduced emissions elsewhere in the range.
The new 2.0-litre diese engine is the one to be offered in the new Ford Mondeo, and is the most powerful ever offered in a Kuga, producing 178bhp and 295lb ft of torque. It replaces the outgoing 2.0-litre 173bhp unit.
This new engine is still capable of CO2 emissions as low as 135g/km, when paired with the manual gearbox. It is also available with an automatic gearbox, which emits 140g/km.
Ford has also added a 1.5-litre Ecoboost petrol engine to the Kuga range, which replaces the 1.6-litre Ecoboost. The new version improves emissions from 154g/km to 143g/km – an improvement of more than 7%. Emissions have also been improved on the 147bhp 2.0-litre diesel, which now produces 122g/km.
These improvements are largely down to a series of changes to the Kuga's standard equipment; every model now comes with stop-start technology and an active grille shutter that helps improve aerodynamics.
Ford has also added three new colours to the Kuga's range, and a bodykit to the Titanium Sport X model. It has also upgraded the Sync infotainment system to allow drivers to use voice control to activate Apps such as Spotify, Radiplayer and Glympse.
