Ford has released more details of its Kuga that will go on sale throughout Europe in the first half of 2008.
The Kuga will be powered by Ford's 134bhp 2.0-litre diesel, linked to a six-speed manual gearbox.
It will be available in two-wheel drive only or with an intelligent four-wheel drive system for those who want off-road capability.
Ford has also revealed that the car will be equipped with 19-inch wheels and a split tailgate to ease loading.
Options will include a panoramic roof and a seven-inch colour display screen which will show navigation details and images from a rear-view parking camera.
Full details of the car's specification are expected to be revealed at this year's Frankfurt motor show, which begins on September 11.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
