Ford's new S-Max MPV will start from £16,767 when it goes on sale in the UK in June.
The S-Max was officially unveiled at the Geneva motor show yesterday, and will be offered with two petrol engines and diesel engines. A 2.0-litre petrol engine with 143bhp kicks the range off, and a 217bhp 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine tops it. The diesels are a 123bhp 1.8-litre unit, and a 138bhp 2.0-litre engine.
A five-speed gearbox is fitted to the 2.0-litre petrol engine, while the 2.5-litre unit has a six-speed transmission, as does the 2.0-litre diesel. The remaining 1.8-litre diesel has the choice of a five- or six-speed gearbox.
Standard features on all cars include a driver's knee airbag, curtain airbags for front and rear seats, air-conditioning, and Ford's Fold Flat Seat (FFS) for the rear two rows of seats. Entry-level vehicles are badged as LX.
Zetec models have 16-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone climate control, front and rear electric window, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob.
Titanium models have a dash-mounted six-CD changer, 17-inch alloy wheels, rain and dusk sensors, cruise control and front and rear parking sensors.
