Ford updates Galaxy and S-Max ranges

The Ford S-Max and Galaxy ranges have been updated.

Both models are now available with a new 172bhp 2.2-litre diesel engine that has 295lb ft of pulling power.

Cars with automatic gearboxes now get the 137bhp 2.0-litre diesel instead of the previous lower-powered 127bhp unit.

In addition, Bluetooth connectivity will come as standard in both vehicles.

The range-topping S-Max Titanium model will also get a sun-reflecting windscreen, ambient lighting and chrome door handles as standard, and the Titanium X pack now includes bi-xenon lights.

Galaxy Ghia models get a new style of 17-inch alloy wheels, a sun-reflecting windscreen, ambient lighting and air-conditioning for the rear.

A new Ghia X Plus pack with 18-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon lights and powered rear quarter windows is also available.

The name of the entry-level S-Max and Galaxy models has also been changed to Edge instead of LX, bringing them in line with the naming of other Ford models.
