Frankfurt motor show 2007 - Saab

11 September 2007
As well as unveiling the revised 9-3 range, Saab has revealed this limited edition Turbo X model: the most powerful Saab so far.

It’s evocative of the classic Saab 900, and is being launched to celebrate 30 years of turbocharging for the company. Available only in black, it’s the first time Saab has combined a turbocharged engine with four-wheel drive in a system the company is calling XWD.

Thanks to a turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 engine that puts out 276bhp, it will whisk you from 0-62mph in less than six seconds.

As well as a sporty body kit, the car is fitted with black leather bolstered sports seats and carbon fibre trim details. Feeling very special? Switch on the ignition and you can have a personalised welcome message appear on the display.

The Turbo X will be available in the UK in March 2008.

New 9-3 range unveiled

Revisions to the 9-3 range include new front and side styling tweaks to make the car look sharper. A new, more powerful BioPower model joins the engine line-up, putting out 198bhp.
