Frankfurt motor show 2011 - Seat Exeo

12 September 2011
• LED running lights
• Styling upgrades
• Efficiency tweaks

An updated Seat Exeo range makes its debut at Frankfurt. Seat's striking IBL concept car shows how a future replacement could look, but for now Seat has given the Exeo saloon and Exeo ST estate a mid-life boost with a range of cosmetic and mechanical tweaks.

The exterior changes are subtle, but bi-xenon headlights and distinctive 'V' shaped LED daytime running lights (standard on Sport, optional on SE) and a new honeycomb pattern for the grille create a new 'face' for the Exeo.

There are also new alloy wheel designs, while the interior features plusher materials for a classier look.

Tweaks to the 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine have cut CO2 emissions from 136g/km to 129g/km and boosted average economy by 3.3mpg to 57.6 mpg.

Stop-start technology will appear on an Ecomotive model in 2012, Seat targeting a CO2 figure of less than 120g/km for this version.

The updated Exeo range comes with a choice of three turbodiesel engines and one turbocharged petrol, and is priced from £19,285.
