A new iPhone app is available that gives users the latest information on traffic and public transport across the UK.
The app, launched by the Government’s Directgov website (www.direct.gov.uk), displays live travel and transport news from Transport Direct on a dynamic map.
Drivers can see information on congestion, accidents and roadworks, while people on public transport can see the latest details on delays and incidents across the UK.
The same information is also available to anyone with an internet-enabled mobile device by texting TRAVEL to 83377.
Directgov is also working on a version of the application for phones that use Google’s Android operating system.
