Geneva Motor Show 2004 - Alfa Romeo

02 March 2004
Alfa unveiled a new 4x4 concept at Geneva today.

The Crosswagon is based on the 156 Sportswagon estate but has been raised to give it better ground clearance, while its suspension system has been uprated for better off-road ability. It also has a permanent four-wheel-drive system.

The off-roading look is further enhanced by protective aluminium sill plates, bigger front and rear bumpers and roof bars. The concept uses a 1.9 turbodiesel engine that develops 150bhp.

It’s not yet confirmed whether the Crosswagon will go on sale in the UK.
