Geneva Motor Show 2004 - Lotus

02 March 2004
Lotus has launched a new version of its Exige sports car. Making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the road-going race car uses the same engine and underpinnings as the recently launched Elise 111R convertible, but has a hard top.

Despite the Exige’s track-day focus, Lotus has tried to make the car relatively usable on a day-to-day basis – it has a boot, and buyers can specify items such as central locking and electric windows.

Two options packs are available: Touring adds extra comfort and practical features such as a full carpet and uprated stereo, while the Performance pack adds sports seats and a four-point harness.

The car is on sale now priced £29,995.
