Geneva Motor Show 2004 - Suzuki

02 March 2004
Suzuki unveiled two very different concept cars at the show - one an environmentally friendly 4x4, the other a commuting car that takes its inspiration from motorbikes.

The Landbreeze is a Land Rover Freelander-sized five-seat off-roader powered by a hybrid engine that promises low emissions. The body is built from aluminium, the rest of the car is constructed from materials that can be easily recycled and the tyres are made from non-petroleum-based products.

The S-Ride is aimed at younger drivers and designed as an urban commuting vehicle. The car seats two people, one behind the other, under a clear canopy with the engine at the rear. Suzuki says it combines the best of both worlds of motorbikes and cars. According to the company, with the wheels standing proud of the body the S-Ride promises kart-like driving thrills.
