Geneva motor show 2009 - Land Rover

03 March 2009
The Range Rover line-up in the UK is being trimmed to just one limited edition model until a heavily revised car appears later in the year.

The survivor is called the Range Rover Westminster, and it's the centrepiece of a quiet stand for the company at the Geneva show.

Just 300 of the Westminsters are being produced, all powered by the 3.6-litre V8 turbodiesel engine.

Cosmetic changes include a new colour option and interior tweaks, led by a different steering wheel.

The Westminster is on sale now with prices starting from £62,995

Land Rover might be having a particularly tough time in the recession, but it isn't taking things lying down. It will announce extensive changes to three models during the course of the year, starting at the New York motor show next month.
