Geneva motor show 2009 - Mitsubishi Colt ClearTech

03 March 2009
The Colt supermini is the first Mitsubishi to get the green makeover, although the environmental package will be rolled out to most of the range over the coming years.

Fitted with a 1.3-petrol engine, the Colt ClearTech has engine stop-start, low-rolling-resistance-tyres, low-viscosity oil and a 'smart' alternator that runs off the engine only when it needs to.

All this green trickery combines to drop the car's CO2 emissions to 119g/km and improve fuel economy to 54.3mpg.

The car will cost around £9300, around £500 more than a standard 1.3-litre Colt.
