Geneva motor show 2009 - Skoda Fabia Scout

This is the Skoda Fabia Scout, a rugged, high-riding version of the Skoda Fabia Estate.

Its butch look comes courtesy of black plastic bumpers and side-skirts, silver roof bars and stainless steel detailing on the interior.

The engine range is identical to that of the Fabia Estate's, which has two petrol units and two diesels.

The petrol engines are a 85bhp 1.4-litre capable of 43.5mpg and a 105bhp 1.6-litre that manages 40.9mpg.

The diesels include a 79bhp 1.4-litre that manages 61.4 mpg and a 80bhp (please check this BHP figure 1.9-litre unit that achieves 57.7 mpg.

The Skoda Fabia Scout goes on sale in May.

Prices have yet to be confirmed, but are expected to start from around £12,000.
