Geneva motor show 2009 - Subaru Legacy concept car

03 March 2009
The Subaru Legacy concept car is on something of a world tour, having been unveiled at the Detroit motor show in January and is now making an appearance at the Geneva show.

As its name suggests, it shows how the next Subaru Legacy saloon will look when it goes on sale next year.

Flared wheelarches and an imposing front end demonstrate a more aggressive styling than on the current model, while the interior hints at the higher quality materials that are expected to feature in the eventual production model.

The concept car has a 3.6-litre engine and four-wheel-drive, but European markets are expected to have a choice between 2.0- and 2.5-litre petrol engines, plus a 2.0-litre diesel.

Estates and higher-riding Outback models will join the saloon at a later date.
