Geneva motor show 2010 - New Kia Cee'd Ecodynamics

01 March 2010
A super-economical version of the Cee'd joins the all-new Sportage on the Kia stand at the Geneva motor show.

What is it?
A new version of the Cee'd that will make environmentalists a little happier, and save you some cash on road tax, too.

Ecodynamics
The revised Ecodynamics model uses a new 1.6-litre diesel engine, which helps to cut emissions by 11% compared with the version currently on sale. That allows the Cee'd to limbo under the 100g/km, which means no road tax charges.

As well as a more efficient engine, the new Ecodynamics model gets a raft of other fuel saving measures, including a revised version of Kia's Intelligent Stop and Go engine stop-start system, a longer sixth gear, lowered ride height and a gearshift indicator.

Kia hasn't yet confirmed an on-sale date for the revised Cee'd Ecodynamics.
