What does Bentley have at Geneva?Bentley is showing two 'Diamond Series' special editions of the GT coupe and Arnage saloon. They celebrate 60 years of Bentley making cars at Crewe in Cheshire.
Both get extra bits and bobs – for example, the GT has enormous 420mm ceramic brakes for added stopping power. Each is strictly limited in number: there's going to be just 400 of the GT, and only 60 Arnages.
Treats on the diamond theme include patterned wood inlays and quilted leather but, sadly, no rocks. You'll also have to pay over the odds for these even more individual Bentleys.
Bentley saysThe fine-wood marquetry in the Arnage Diamond Series sets new standards, even for Bentley – and the brakes on the GT are the biggest fitted to any production car at 420mm. The GT had the record before, too, at 405mm.
We sayJolly well done chaps.
But where's the new drop top Continental GT?The Continental GTC has already been heavily promoted by Bentley, but you won't find it at the Geneva motor show.
If you fancy being among the first to see the car in the metal, you'll have to book a flight to New York. The car is likely to make its first appearance at the American show in the next six weeks or so, and then go on sale in the UK late this year.
