Geneva Motor Show - Honda

28 February 2006
Hot Honda

How about this all-new Type-R?

It uses the same radical styling as the five-door model, and continues with traditional Type-R addenda, such as the deep side sills and aggressive bumpers. It looks great from where we're standing.

It should be even better to drive than the previous generation, too. It might not be that much quicker, however, because power output isn't likely to rise above the current 197bhp.

But there are loads of faster hot hatches now…
Yes – you're thinking of cars such as the 217bhp Ford Focus ST, 237bhp Vauxhall Astra VXR, 247bhp Volkswagen Golf R32 and forthcoming 250bhp Mazda 3 MPS, aren't you?

Honda is too, so an even hotter Type RR with around 250bhp is on the drawing board as well – watch this space.
