Geneva Motor Show - Suzuki

28 February 2006
Is this the Fiat Suzuki?
Well, this is the SX4, which runs on the same bits and bolts as the Fiat Sedici, yes.

It's designed to appeal to those buyers who think the Swift is just a little bit too small and the Grand Vitara just a little bit too big.

You'll be able to buy it from this April for around £11,000. Pick from an Urban version in front- or four-wheel-drive, or a more up-and-at-'em Outdoor model. This is only available with four-wheel-drive and comes with more off-road styling.

Standard equipment includes six airbags, air-conditioning, CD player and front electric windows.

Is it just another 4x4-styled car with no ability?
No. We've already driven the Outdoor model and found that the four-wheel drive traction and added ride height gives it some genuine ability for light off-road duties.

What makes a car Swiss?
Scissor-action doors, of course. Suzuki chopped and changed this 'Swiss Edition' Swift supermini so the doors open up rather than out.
