The Volvo XC60 might be a few years old now, but it's recently had a string of revisions, including a visual refresh and more efficient engine options, that have done enough to merit a place on your shortlist if you're in the market for a stylish, nicely finished SUV.
The most appealing new engine option is the 2.0-litre four-cylinder D4 diesel, which is available in front-wheel-drive form with CO2 emissions of just 116g/km. It looks a decent buy at the list price of more than £33,000 - but our team of shoppers has uncovered an offer with broker Drivethedeal where you can save a cool £6512 on that official figure, bringing the price down to just £27,073. That's for R-Design Nav trim, too - so the car will be generously loaded with kit.
The Range Rover Evoque is even more style-focused than the XC60, but demand for the British-built baby SUV has been so strong that there have been precious few discounts. That's just starting to change, though; Drivethedeal can also offer you £2341 off an Evoque SD4 190 Pure 4WD five-door, taking the price down to £28,659.
If space is your ultimate priority, you'll want a larger SUV, and Hyundai's Santa Fe could be just the ticket. Orangewheels is offering the 2.2 CRDi Style 4WD, in seven-seat form, for just £25,962 - a saving of £2488.
