Green car show at Eden Project

22 February 2007

The world's first green car show will be held at the Eden Project in Cornwall this spring.

Running from March 30 to April 15, the show aims to highlight the greener choices that motorists can make.

Entry to the car show is included in the normal ticket price for the Eden Project, which is open from 10am to 6pm.

Cars on show include models from Ford, Saab and Vauxhall that can run on E85 (an 85% rich blend of ethanol with petrol), and hybrid cars from Toyota and Lexus.

The Smart EV, an electric vehicle offered on lease to selected customers, will also be on display, alongside the D1 Oils Le Mans 24-hour race car that runs on biodiesel made from the jatropha tree (pictured).
