This is the Fiat 500 Start&Stop, a cleaner and greener version of the supermini that reduces fuel consumption by cutting the engine when the car is at a standstill.
Based on the Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge, the engine stop-start technology reduces CO2 emissions from 119g/km to just 113g/km.
Average fuel consumption rises from 55.4mpg to 58.9mpg, although the savings are based purely on better economy around town, where efficiency is improved by up to 12%.
Fiat's hands-free phone system is fitted as standard, which also includes the company's eco:Drive system that allows drivers to monitor their CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.
The Fiat 500 Start&Stop costs from £9500, the same price as the standard 1.2 Lounge model.
