Higher-value Vauxhall Astra launched

01 February 2011

  • More kit for new ES Tech trim
  • Prices start at £18,110
  • Bluetooth and sat-nav standard

Vauxhall Astra

Vauxhall has launched a new ES Tech version of its Astra small family car.

The new trim is available with the 138bhp 1.4-litre petrol for £18,110 and the 123bhp 1.7 CDTi for £19,530.

That makes the new trim £115 more expensive than the cheapest Exclusive version with the diesel, but £40 cheaper with the petrol.

Despite being close on price, ES Tech beats Exclusiv specification with the addition of extras including sat-nav and Bluetooth, options that would otherwise add £1050 to the price of the car.

Other features include a digital radio, 17-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning, curtain airbags, stability control, cruise control and steering-wheel-mounted stereo controls.
