Honda has revised its Insight hybrid in response to negative feedback from customers and the media.

The car's suspension has been revised to reduce noise and vibration, while also improving ride comfort.

Honda says the work will also improve the handling and stability of the Insight, which is one of our least-liked cars.

Some of the cabin trim and plastics have been improved to give the interior a more uniform look and higher-quality feel, while chrome rings now surround the air vents.

The entry-level S trim is no longer available, although the next cheapest model, the SE, continues to cost from £16,325, just £100 more than the S.

A new EX version of the Insight is now available with leather upholstery and satellite-navigation. Prices for this model start at £20,215.

Production of the revised car has started in Japan, with the first deliveries due in the UK this September.
