Honda is recalling more than 6000 cars over fears the petrol engine could cut out without warning, or fail to start.

The manufacturer wants to inspect the fuel pump on 6129 Accord family cars, FR-V MPVs and Jazz superminis built in May 2005.

Owners are being contacted by Honda with the offer of free checks and remedial work at their nearest dealership.
