Seat's Leon FR and Altea FR models are now available with the Volkswagen Group's Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG).
Unlike other models in Seat's range, the Leon FR and Altea FR DSG also have paddle shift controls on the steering wheel.
The DSG gearbox costs £900 more than the manual models, so the Seat FR DSG comes in at £17,895 and the Altea FR £18,195.
Performance is largely unaffected; fuel economy and top speeds are unchanged, but FR DSG models are 0.1s quicker in 0-62mph.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
