Vauxhall is to reveal a 148bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol version of the Vauxhall Adam supermini this week at the 2014 Geneva motor show.
According to Vauxhall's Stuart Harris, the company 'wanted to do something similar to the Peugeot 106 Rallye in character’.
The Adam S isn’t due to go on sale until in 2015, but it will get similar suspension upgrades to the Vauxhall Corsa VXR, which gets stiffer dampers, among other tweaks.
Whether the Adam S will get the limited-slip diff from the new Clubsport is undecided, according to Harris, but it’s unlikely to get Bilstein dampers from the most focused Corsa, due to the high cost of the parts.
Pricing is also yet to be confirmed, but expect the Adam S to cost more than £16,000.
