How often are seatbelts really worn?

26 July 2006

We're asking whatcar.com readers to help us review the state of motoring in the UK, and last week we asked you how often you wear a seatbelt.

Unsurprisingly, the overwhelming majority of you - 94% - say you do wear a seatbelt all the time while driving.

However, is there a discrepancy with what people say and what people do? A What Car? roadside survey found that one in five drivers don't belt up. Keep an eye out for this in the October issue of What Car? magazine, and we'll have more details on the website soon.

This week's poll asks how many people on average are killed on our roads each day. Please take part in our poll - we'll post the results of the poll, as well as the true figure, on whatcar.com next week.
