How to... ready your car for an iPod - Going a step further…

Harmon Kardon Drive & Play (Harmankardon.com)
You can further integrate your iPod if you've got a bit more to spend. Harmon Kardon's Drive & Play system gives you a separate iPod controller and a 2.5-inch screen, making scrolling through the iPod menu and selecting songs a lot easier.

The system comes with a wireless FM transmitter, so you can play your songs through your existing car stereo.

If you're a whizz with wires, you can fit the system yourself, but the manufacturer recommends a professional installation, which will cost extra.

Dension Ice>Link FM (Dension.com)
Dension also offers an iPod interface, called the Ice>Link FM.

Unlike the Harmon Kardon set-up, the Dension has a wired connection between your iPod and the aerial connection in the back of your car's stereo.

That means sound quality should be crystal-clear - but installation requires removal of the stereo.
