Hyundai's Ford Focus rival, the i30, will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The i30 is Hyundai's version of the Kia Cee'd small family hatch, which is already in showrooms.
The five-door i30 will be available with either three petrol or three diesel engines. More details about the powerplants will be released at the show.
The car goes on sale this summer; an estate version will be available later.
In concept form, the car was known as Arnejs, but Hyundai says the i30 marks the start of a new alphanumeric naming system for all its models.
Also on show in Geneva will be what Hyundai describes as a Crossover Utility Vehicle called HED 4. The concept car is a joint project with GE Plastics and has a wrap-around windscreen.
We'll have more details and pictures of the concept car from the Geneva show on Tuesday March 6.
