The Hyundai Veloster will get a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine in the second half of 2012.
The new 1.6 T-GDI engine produces 201bhp and will to have lower emissions than rival units, says Hyundai.
We’ve already driven a prototype of the three-door Veloster , which we found slightly disappointing when fitted the 138bhp 1.6-litre GDi petrol engine.
The Veloster 1.6 GDi is on sale now, with prices ranging from £17,995 to £21,745. Prices have yet to be announced for the 1.6 T-GTDI models.
