Infiniti has released details of its first hybrid model, the M35h executive car, which will go on sale later this year.
The M35h has a combined power output of 359bhp from its V6 petrol engine and battery-powered electric motor, which is enough to propel the car from 0-62mph in 5.5secs.
Its average economy is 40.4mpg, while emissions stand at just 162g/km of CO2.
The car is capable of running on battery power alone at speeds of up to 50mph, while Infiniti reckons its real-world tests show it can drive in electric mode for up to half of the time during 'mixed use.'
The hybrid will be available in GT and GT Premium trims only, with prices to be announced just before the Geneva motor show at the beginning of March.
