The Infiniti and Red Bull F1 tie-up is likely to produce a road car.
'There is definitely an opportunity for a co-developed car with Infiniti and Red Bull in the future,' said corporate vice president Simon Sproule.
Any car produced would act as a halo vehicle for the luxury Japanese manufacturer; Sproule said the co-developed project would be a supercar.
The two companies have been working together for the past two years and have just released the limited-edition Infiniti FX Vettel Edition. However, this was only ever intended to be a marketing exercise and future products would involve more interaction between the two firms.

Any car produced would be several years away, although Sproule confirmed that Infiniti and Red Bull employees had been working together in secret before the official announcement of their partnership.
