The ITV Local website has launched a travel information service that provides more live pictures from road traffic cameras than ever before.

The system broadcasts live footage from 1200 cameras to provide nationwide coverage from all the major roads in Britain.

In addition, mapping highlights hold-ups, roadworks and speed restrictions. London users also get tube travel updates.

The information is provided live by the Highways Agency and Transport for London, to ensure the data is as accurate as possible.
