JD Power Satisfaction Survey 2006 - MPVs

08 June 2006
Only two MPVs made it into the top 50 this year: the Hyundai Matrix and the Nissan Almera Tino. The Matrix was ranked 53rd last year and moved up to 29th= thanks to its rock-solid interior.

Last year's winner, the Tino, performed reasonably well but most vehicles in this category were near the bottom. The Ford Galaxy slipped from 91st overall in 2005 to the foot of the table.

Overall ranking 29th

The Matrix was a solid performer right across the board. Its 29th equal placing is a huge improvement on last year's result where it finished 53rd.

There were almost no complaints about the transmission and there were not too many issues with the interior or the mechanicals. The sound system was only feature that came in for criticism.

The Hyundai service departments received praise, however. Owners were delighted with the dealership facilities, the booking-in procedure and the professional approach by the staff.
