It may not be the most sought-after or desirable car in this category but Toyota owners don't care about that – they still want the reliability to go with the good looks.
The car that is arguably the most attractive in this class, the
Audi TT, drops further down the overall classification.
In 2005 it came 57th. This year it finished 78th equal. It seems there is no substitute for Japanese and Korean reliability. The Mazda RX-8 came second in the class, closely followed by the Hyundai Coupe and then the
Mazda MX-5.

The Celica's engine and transmission are reliable – owners reported few problems in this area, but the suspension and braking and the heating and ventilation system were not quite so robust.
Owners liked the car's looks and the interior design, and it seems that if you want a reliable car with strong engine, gearbox aligned with excellent build quality, you won't go far wrong.
The dealerships offered good value for money on service – only the Mazda MX-5 performed better in this section. The only letdown was that the owners were less impressed with the level of comfort.
