Jeep Patriot 4x4 prices have been slashed and a new version has been added to the range.
The entry-level 2.4 Sport petrol has fallen in price from £16,585 to £13,995, while the cheapest 2.0 CRD Sport diesel is now £1374 cheaper at £16,495.
New 2.4 Sport+
Jeep's new 2.4 Sport + model is expected to take the majority of sales. Priced from £14,995 it has front foglamps, cruise control, tinted windows, Bluetooth and a leather-trimmed steering wheel with stereo controls. Electric windows, air-conditioning and alloy wheels are also standard.
All cars in the range get front and side airbags, stability control and permanent four-wheel drive.
The Patriot was already competitively priced against rivals such as the Honda CR-V, Land Rover Freelander and Toyota RAV4, but the Jeep brand has struggled, with its sales crashing 38.4% in 2009 against an overall market drop of 6.4%.
