Our cars: Kia Ceed - June
Week ending June 21
Driven this week 502 miles
This week I had to go to Milton Keynes for a reader test team event and I got the chance to drive our long term Kia Ceed.
The diesel engine was perfect for crunching the miles on my journey along the M1 and the cabin was really easy to get comfortable in. The seats and steering wheel had lots of adjustment, which meant I was in position in seconds.
Our car also has a lot of functions built into the steering wheel and I have to admit at first glance I was quite put off by the amount of buttons and toggles; worried I would be hitting settings when turning on the many roundabouts of Milton Keynes. However, I hold my hands up in admitting that it turned out to be really intuitive and usefully laid out.
Within a couple of minutes I had acquainted myself with the cruise control and sat back to relax whilst flipping through my tracks on the CD player. All without having to take my eyes of the road, meaning I could read the roundabout signs and didn’t get lost.
