The Kia Cee'd SW will cost from £12,995 when it goes on sale in September.
Kia's first estate will have three engine options: a 120bhp 1.6-litre petrol and 89bhp and 113bhp 1.6-litre diesels.
A five-speed manual gearbox will come as standard, with buyers of the petrol-engined car also able to opt for a four-speed automatic.
An automatic gearbox will be available with the 113bhp diesel from November 2007.
There are two trims: GS and LS.
The entry-level GS will 16-inch alloy wheels, air-conditioning, roof rails, central locking, electric windows and a CD player with MP3 compatibility.
The LS has a different design of 16-inch alloy wheels, front foglights, climate control, reversing sensors, rear electric windows and the option of stability control.
All models come with front, side and curtain airbags as standard, as well as a seven-year warranty.
