Kia lowers diesel emissions

04 July 2008

Kia has refined the 1.6-litre diesel engine in its Cee'd and Pro_Cee'd models to cut emissions and improve fuel economy.

The engine now emits 119g/km of CO2 instead of 128g/km, which drops the cars into VED tax band B. A tax disc for a band B car costs £35 a year - a tax saving of £85 over band C.

The 1.6-litre diesel also now averages 62.8mpg, an improvement of 2.7mpg.
