Kia opens its Soul

- Three concept cars give clues to 4x4
- Compact 4x4 will go on sale later this year
- Expected to be front-wheel drive only
Kia will show three concept cars at next month's Geneva motor show.
The cars will be based on the same model, but are individually styled and give clues to how the Kia Soul will look when it is launched later this year.
The Soul is expected to be powered by the 1.6-litre diesels used in the Cee'd range, as well as 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol options.
The car is a 4x4 lookalike but sources suggest that it will be front-wheel drive only.
