The Kia Ceed GT and Pro_ceed GT will come with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine that will take the hatch from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds.
The engine is a modified version of the unit in the Hyundai Veloster turbo, but with an extra 15bhp, which takes it to 201bhp. Kia claims the engine will also generate 195lb ft of torque.
Kia also says the new cars will come with bespoke styling features, such as new grilles and light clusters, 18-inch alloys, red brake callipers and four-point LED running lights.
They will get Recaro sports seats, alloy pedals, and bespoke dashboard materials.
The pair make their debuts at the 2013 Geneva motor show, before going on sale in the summer. Prices and full specification will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
