This is Kia's first-ever two-door coupe, the US-market Forte Koup.
It was unveiled at the New York motor show and is based on the US Forte sedan (saloon). Both cars are closely related to Kia's European Cee'd and Pro_cee'd models.
Although it's lower and shorter than the four-door Forte, Kia says that the Koup version will still seat five in comfort. There's also a decent 350-litre boot.
Power comes from 2.0 or 2.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engines. Five- or six-speed manual gearboxes are standard, with four- or five-speed automatics as an option.
There are currently no plans to sell the Forte Koup in Europe, because Kia says that it's too similar to the Pro_cee'd.
