Lamborghini has announced the Roadster version of its exhilarating Reventon coupe and once again, just 20 will be built.
With a 6.5-litre, twelve-cylinder engine generating a feisty 670bhp, the Reventon pounces from 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 205mph; not so much wind-in-the-hair as a tornado in your toupee.
It's no surprise that the startling design of the Reventon is inspired by fighter jets. From the aggressive nose and upward opening scissor doors to the digital display panels in the cockpit and bespoke grey colour scheme, the result is stunning.
There's even a G-force meter at the top of the display to remind you just how intensely the car is feeling the forces created by acceleration, braking and cornering.
Permanent four-wheel drive is standard on the Reventon Roadster for maximum grip. Get carried away, however, and two pop-up bars behind the seats will deploy in case of a roll-over.
Also standard is the e.gear transmission which allows you to change gear using steering wheel paddles.
If you're one of the 20 lucky buyers there's the small matter of the bill: each car will be sold for 1.1 million Euros, just under £1 million, and that's before tax.
