Land Rover Defender owners in Derbyshire are being warned to secure their cars following a spate of thefts.

Police say that since January there have been 45 reports of Land Rover Defenders stolen from people in the High Peak and Derbyshire Dales areas of the county.

Police suspect the cars are being stolen because of their relatively old security systems and high resale values.
