Latest crash test results - Introduction

28 June 2005
Crash test ratings for five more models have been released by Euro NCAP.

The Mercedes A-Class, BMW 3 Series, Fiat Stilo, Lexus GS300 and forthcoming Renault Clio are all included in the latest round of results.

Four of the cars achieve a top five-star overall rating, while the Stilo still manages to score four of the maximum available.

Pedestrian safety results aren’t so impressive with three of the cars only scrapping one out of four stars. The Mercedes and Lexus fare the best, but can only manage two stars.

All of the cars scored four out of five stars for their ability to protect child occupants except the A-Class which was awarded three.
