Latest crash tests: six makers tested - Daihatsu Materia

19 December 2007
Potential knee and leg injuries in the front-impact test meant the Materia received four stars for adult safety protection.

The car was not eligible for the side-impact test, because a head-protecting airbag is only available as an option.

Poor labelling of whether the front passenger airbag is activated and poor signing of the ISOFIX seat mountings resulted in a three-star rating for child occupant safety.

It scored two stars for pedestrian safety.
