Latest crash tests: six makers tested - Mazda 2

19 December 2007
The Mazda 2 suffered a setback when testers noticed that the front airbag did not deploy properly under certain frontal crash situations.

As a result, Mazda rectified the problem and re-submitted the supermini for Euro NCAP testing.

Subsequently, the car scored a maximum five stars for adult protection, fours stars for child protection and two stars for pedestrian protection.
