Latest Euro NCAP crash test results - Introduction

Half of the cars tested in the latest round of Euro NCAP crash trials have been awarded the top five star rating.

The Fiat Bravo small family car and Honda Legend executive car have both earned the top rating in the impact tests. The Honda fared better than the Fiat in child and pedestrian protection, winning four out of five and three out of four stars respectively to the Fiat's three and two.

The Honda CR-V and Mitsubishi Outlander 4x4s were given four out of five stars for their ability to protect occupants, and both were awarded two stars in pedestrian impact tests.

The CR-V was given four stars in child protection tests, while the Outlander was given three.
